However, he insisted that American troops “will not be involved in the conflict with Russia in Ukraine”.
Our “Forces will not go to Europe to fight in Ukraine, but to protect our NATO allies and secure them allies in the east”, Biden said.
The American president confirmed that NATO will gather a summit tomorrow with leaders of 20 allied countries and close partners.
“This will affirm our solidarity and describe the next steps we will take to further strengthen all aspects of our NATO coalition” he says.
Beden confirms that additional US troops will be deployed in Germany “as part of NATO response”.
