Beden in this letter has asked Vuciqi to recognise Kosovo as the final dialogue on normalising relations.
Biden has said that Serbia's aspirations towards the EU also depend on progress towards full normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, which is based on mutual recognition.
I'm glad you participated in the summit for Democracy in December. I encourage you and your government to continue working hard to implement the internal reforms necessary to make the achievements of democracy available to all people in Serbia. The same reforms will help ensure sustainable development, rule of law and an attractive investment climate and will draw you closer to membership in the European Union. Serbia's aspirations towards the EU also depend on progress towards full normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, which, as you know, I believe must be based on mutual recognition. The United States is willing to support you in your faithful work to achieve that goal. The European family will not be complete without Serbia and all its neighbours”, Biden emphasises in his letter.
