Beden urges Americans to leave Ukraine immediately

The president of the United States, Joe Biden, has called on all American citizens still in Ukraine to leave the country immediately, citing the growing threats of Russian military action. He added that he would not send soldiers of his country to save Americans if [...]

He added that he would not send his country's soldiers to rescue Americans, if Russia invades Ukraine, warning that “things could quickly become crazy” in the region, the BBC writes.

American citizens must leave now. We're facing one of the largest armies in the world. It's a very different situation and things can quickly get crazy”, the White House chief said.

Asked if there were squirrels who could press him to send troops to rescue Americans, the American president said: “there is no. That's world war when Americans and Russia start shooting at each other. We're in a world far different than we've ever been before. ”

Meanwhile, Russia and Ukraine announced on Thursday evening that they have failed to reach any important agreements on the day of talks with German and French officials aimed at ending the conflict between Ukrainian government forces and separatists backed by Russia to the east of Ukraine.

Western countries have made intensive diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions with Russia for Ukraine in recent days. French President Emmanuel Macron went to Putin in Moscow, while the same is expected to do next week as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

UK Foreign Secretary Liz Trus met with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Thursday. They made tense statements to journalists and suffered sharp criticism of the actions of each other's states.

On Friday, British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace will remain in Moscow. He is expected to meet with Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu. Before this trip, the senior British official confirmed that his country would offer more protection equipment to Ukraine, including bulletproof vests and helmets to Ukrainian soldiers.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said that the Azov Sea is completely blocked and that the Black Sea is almost entirely isolated from Russian forces. Russia next week will hold naval exercises on these two seas, which extend south of Ukraine. Russian authorities have issued warnings on the coast to announce artillery and missile exercises.
