White House Media Secretary Jen Psaki said that President Biden “'s future comments would provide an update on the events related to Ukraine, not the new political declaration”.
He wants to talk about the situation on the ground, the steps we've taken, the actions we're prepared to take, what's at risk for the US and the world and how this can affect us at home”, Psaki said in a Twitter post.
Earlier, the White House said that Biden would make short remarks “for the Ukraine-Russia situation.
“It will reiterate that the United States remains open to high-level diplomacy in close co-ordination with our allies, relying on the numerous diplomatic platforms that we and our allies and partners have offered to Russia in recent months. The United States continues to believe diplomacy and de-progression are the best way forward, but is prepared for every” scenario, the White House communiqué says.
Otherwise, according to CNN report, Biden will come up with new media address after the situation in Ukraine.
