Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Arberie Nagavci has reacted after publishing news of the eight-year removal with autism from the school “Elena Gjika” in Pristina.
Voicing her concern over this event, Nagavci has said that absorption of all children is right guaranteed by constitution and legislation in force, until he has added that any action that comes against sweeping politics is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
With concern, I received information about the case of eight-year-old disabled student who was unable to continue teaching at a Pristina municipality school. Education of all children is the right guaranteed by constitution and legislation in force, based on international instruments. Any action that conflicts with our sweeping policies is unacceptable and will not be tolerated”, she said on her Facebook.
Meanwhile, Nagavci has also made known the steps he has already taken in front of this event.
“I have authorized the respective colleagues in the MANTI to professionally analyze the case, conform the situation and findings to all measures, so that the case in question will be resolved based on the child's best interest. MASTI in the context of ensuring the support mechanism of school and disabled children has shared the tools and budget for employing assistants, the Pristina municipality has allowed the employment of 12 assistants, and their task has been precisely to support disabled students who have difficulties in adoption and teaching. Unfortunately, the Pristina municipality did not employ these assistants”, she said.
The first of the education has called on all municipalities to which they have received the means to announce competitions and hire assistants, who must engage in schools, students who need support.
