Kosovo Police Inspectorate has arrested a Kosovo Police official with the rank of sergeant, on suspicion that the sergeant has committed criminal acts of rape, blackmail and photography and other unauthorised recordings.
The IPK in the media-set communiqué, has reported that the sergeant allegedly committed alleged criminal acts in the Kosovo Criminal Code, on Mondays 227, 329 and 202.
The “based on evidence and evidence collected by IPK investigators have arrested the police official involved in the evening on suspicion that the same has committed criminal acts and that of Article 227, 329 and 202 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”, the statement said.
In Kosovo's Penal Code, criminal acts 227, 329 and 202 are violations, blackmail and photography, and other authorised recordings.
At Article 1 point 227 of the Penal Code, it is said that anyone performing this work could be sentenced to prison for between 2 and 10 years.
“Whoever forces the other person to commit sexual acts without the consent of such a person is sentenced to prison terms of two (2) to ten (10) years”, point 1 in Article 227 of the Penal Code.
The IPK also announced that during investigative actions, police have seized various evidence.
“In the continuation of the investigative actions, the operation has continued with raids on Pec based on the Basic Court Order in Pec, where various evidence was found and seized” reported in the IPK's report”, the statement said.
Suspects arrested in this case with the prosecutor's decision have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
