American professor of touching dedication for Kosovo: Out of the ashes of thousands of men and women massacred by Serbian Army

American professor Alon Ben-Mayr has dedicated Kosovo some exciting words on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of Independence. Through a Facebook status, Ben-Meir has said that Kosovo is celebrating a major historic achievement in its 14th anniversary of independence, to become a sovereign country with the support of the United States of America and all Western allies.

On this important day, all must remember that Kosovo has emerged from the ashes of thousands of men and women who were massacred by the Serbian Army in an effort to prevent the establishment of an independent and free democracy. Although more than 117 countries have recognised Kosovo as a state over the past 14 years, Belgrade refuses to do so with the encouragement of Russia, which vetos the UN Security Council for any resolution that would recognise Kosovo and prevents it from membership in the United Nations”, wrote Ben-Meir, broadcasts news.

On the other hand, he has said Serbia is not the only obstacle on Kosovo's road towards a better future.

Kosovo's “leaders have a moral responsibility and a sacred duty to put the country's national interest in their interest. Simply declaring Independence has not convinced thousands of Kosovo young people to stay in the country, as they have sought ways to find better work opportunities and a brighter perspective abroad. Kosovo cannot afford brain drain”, Ben-Mer wrote.

In the end, he has said Serbia could never return Kosovo's independence.

U.S. professor's full delivery:

On its 14th anniversary of independence, Kosovo celebrates a major historic achievement to become a sovereign country with the support of the United States and almost all Western allies. On this important day, all should remember that Kosovo has emerged from the ashes of thousands of men and women who were massacred by the Serbian Army in an effort to prevent the establishment of an independent and free democracy.

Although more than 117 countries have recognised Kosovo as a state over the past 14 years, Belgrade refuses to do so with the encouragement of Russia, which vetos the UN Security Council for any resolution that would recognise Kosovo and prevents it from membership in the United Nations.

However, Serbia is not the only obstacle on Kosovo's road towards a better future. Kosovo leaders have a moral responsibility and a sacred duty to put the country's national interest in their interest. Simply declaring independence has not convinced thousands of Kosovo young people to stay in the country, as they have sought ways to find better work opportunities and a brighter perspective abroad. Kosovo cannot afford to evacuate “trost”. Its own future lies in the vitality of its youth, in which every Kosovar has an interest.

Serbia can never return Kosovo's independence. Now it is up to Kosovo's current and successive governments to fight corruption, invest in people especially in health and education and attract foreign investors to boost the economy and advance.

All the time, Kosovo must maintain its democracy and diligently defend human rights, which will make it a model for all Balkan states and beyond.
