US Secretary Antony Blinken has authorized the U.S. Department of Defense to provide $350 million additional military assistance to Ukraine.

Blinken wrote that assistance is to help Ukraine protect itself from Russia's unjustified war.

I authorized the Department of Defence today to offer an additional $350m in immediate military assistance to Ukraine to help protect it from Russia's unprotested and unwarranted war. Joined by Ukraine”, Blinken wrote.

Russian forces have advanced toward Ukrainian capital, Kiev, as war entered on the third day. Ukrainian authorities have said Kiev is being hit with artillery and rockets, while President Voldymyr Zelensky has pledged to protect the country.

Today I rejected the @DeptofDefense to provide an adequate $350 million in military assistance to Ukraine to help destroy itself from Russia unproached and unjustified war. #United With Ukraine
