Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Sunday that Russian leader Vladimir Putin's order to alert Russian preventive forces is an attempt to increase pressure on the Ukrainian delegation in Monday's planned talks, CNN reports.
“Sic noticed, this order by President Putin came shortly after the announcement was made to both delegations ready to meet. And we see this announcement, this order, as an attempt to put additional pressure on the Ukrainian delegation”, Kuleba said at a conference in Kiev.
“But we will not give up on this” pressure, he added. “We will approach these conversations with a very simple approach”.
Kuleba indicated that Ukrainian officials are willing to listen to what Russia has to say”.
We'll tell them what we think about this. And what we're about to discuss is how to stop our war and invasion of our 148x1>, the Ukrainian minister said.
Putin's decision to place his nuclear weapons on high alert is a direct threat to us. I have a very simple message. It will be a disaster for the world, but it will not destroy us”, he stressed.
