Since 1500, two thousand and 650 people had been arrested for protests in 51 cities across the country, while a thousand and 225 reported being arrested in Moscow alone broadcast news.
Under Russian law, major demonstrations require protesters to apply for a permit, which should be delivered no more than 15, but no less than 10 days before the event.
Heavy fines, and in some cases even imprisonment may be imposed for those who protest without permission.
Individuals are allowed to organize single points.
On Thursday, Russia's Detective Committee has warned that participation in any anti-war protest was illegal.
