500 thousand vaccines from America, Kurti: We are eternally grateful to them

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has indicated that 900,000 citizens have so far been vaccinated with a dose against Avid19.

Kurt also thanks to the United States for the 1 million vaccine donation in our country.

The prime minister called for the vaccine, saying that “to regain full immunity must also receive the third strengthening dose, once three months are spent after taking the second dose”.

Today we've marked over 1.8 million doses of an anti vaccine. - CO VID administered in the Republic of Kosovo, while nearly 900,000 citizens have been vaccinated with at least one dose. These achievements have resulted from the will of the citizens of the Republic to protect themselves and others around them, as well as of the unspoiled work of health workers that we are all grateful for.

But since the pandemic is not yet over, our vaccination campaign has yet to continue. For this reason, we accepted yesterday a donation from the United States of America of 515,970 additional doses; in total, over 1 million vaccines provided by the US are achieved. This donation will help Kosovo expand its immunity among our population. We are eternally grateful to the United States and other allies who have contributed to our battle against COVID-19.

I call on all citizens to get their first two doses as soon as possible. The protection against infection, hospitalization and loss of life is markedly reduced by starting several months after the first two doses were communicated. So to regain full immunity, you have to take the third strengthening dose, once three months pass after taking the second dose.
