Kurteshi in an interview for Kosovo Preress said he is worried that such cases are being announced late for treatment at the clinic.
Kurtishi: “Nomer of patients has risen year-on-year, and during January and February alone, we have recorded about 220-230 new cases, which would allow for a rise in malaria from the previous year, since in 2020 we have closed by 10% to 2% more cases than in 2020. This trend of mountain growth, we pray that it will not continue, but on the basis of all the data and notes that we have available, this trend continues to rise, and this is disturbing because there are also cases that are reported to the clinic at usually a little later, where treatment of the disease is slightly more difficult”, says Kurtishi.
The number of those receiving services at the Oncology Clinic is also large, numbering up to 400. All of these receive necessary services.
Kurtishi added that: “We treat solomores to all persons, so non-metatological tumors and the number of patients who frequent the Oncology Clinic within 24 hours total up to 400 people. About 200-250 people receive chemotherapy or medical oncology services, and about 120-130 patients perform radiation services along with other services we have at the clinic such as transfusion service and other patients' hospitalization services”.
Kurtishi has appealed for caution from factors that endanger human health - factors that can also affect our showing cancer.
Kurtishi went on to say that “actually the factors that influence are different, because even the disease is multi-factoral, but we have some factors that can influence, and some factors that cannot affect. Life - style, malnutrition, or rich diet of sugar and fat, salt and fried meat, then lack of physical activity, exposure to sunlight, some viral, bacterial infections, and a very dominant factor in mountain diseases is in lung sinuses, tobacco consumption, alcohol consumption, the use of contraceptions on women, and here you share and the heirs we have, your heritage, your age and gender. This way the disease is multiphyctoral, but it doesn't mean that we leave all of these factors and not have a malignant disease, but they can appear, but it's obvious that if we remove these factors the impact of the disease show is less”, the oncologist points out.
Kurtishi also said that nearly every second patient who went to the Oncology Clinic for treatment has been reported by conorvinrus, but fortunately many who have been affected by David-19 have passed this flu as a common flu.
Kurtishi: “actually we don't have an exact number, but based on the data and the notice of patients treated at the clinics of Oncology, we can say that almost every second patient who was reported to us at the clinic, especially these last two to three months with the new wave of COVID, have been infected with COVID, but the good fortune of all of this is that most or all of them have weathered the disease as a common flu... Now, we've been thinking about it as a lot of problems, because they're classifying that cancer patients in the fourth group who might end up fatally, that was in 2020, but the initial form of COVID, even then oncological patients have easily coped with the disease, but recently, especially with the new wave and omerron, it's almost become a common flu and most oncological patients, especially those who have been in oncological treatment have passed the COVIVI as a common flu 141).
Even though there are a large number of ill mountain patients in our country, Kurtishi has shown that most of them receive free services from a qualified staff with a worldwide standard at the Oncology Clinic in Pristina.
