Five days ago, Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Xhelal Svecla, stated that among the people aimed at unblocking the legal actions of the Republic of Kosovo, there was former police officer Dejan Pantic, who is accused of tetroism, and who today was taken into house arrest.

Below, Steve's full statement to reporters:

I call on citizens to co-operate with the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and not to succumb to pressure and blackmail from Belgrade. Barricades have already lost their reason for raising them. Reasons they didn't at any time have. Their only goal is to block the legal actions of the Republic of Kosovo. They began after the arrest of former police official Pantic, who is accused of committing terrorist acts and of attacking constitutional order.

But, already, around the barricades every day, we are being notified of new demands postponed by Serbia for achieving their political goals.

Pantic Release RequiredWhich is obviously unacceptable. Kosovo police have arrested at the request of justice bodies and that it is not the duty of the Kosovo Police to release those arrested, but it is to exercise their authorisations and implement the commands legally based on the Constitution.

Just because of barricades, roadblocks and freedom of movement, He is being held at the police station near the Jarinje border. Much has been discussed in the maintenance and state of the already banned Dejan Pantic. Of course, he should be at the relevant maintenance center, not the police station. But despite that, his condition is good and has proper treatment. In this case, we have processed requests to our partners for his transfer to appropriate objects to continue the detention and further procedures. Therefore, we hold his transfer priority through cooperation with our partners. The removal of barricades enables this transfer from Kosovo Police, easily and safely./Periscopi
