Until, in northern Kosovo, troops of the law police have been sent after the situation was tense, several statements have come from Serbia warning that Serb military troops should be brought to Kosovo, writes Periscope. The chief of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Petar Petkovovic, said yesterday that Serbia “would consider sending its 1,000 security forces to Kosovo.
This action said it would be taken in line with UN Resolution 1244, Article 4 and Article 6 of the annex 2.
Today, Serbia's prime minister, Anna Brnabiq, said Serbia intends to seek the return of a certain number of troops to Kosovo.
“under these circumstances, Serbia has the right and goal, under Resolution 1244, to return a certain number of troops to Kosovo”, Brnabiq stressed.
Following these statements, former KSF Commander Kadri Kastrati said that such a thing cannot happen, until he added that such threats did not concern us much and should not be in order to deal with those threats”.
Serbia will forget it now and forever. In Kosovo, neither police nor army can bring anyone. Serbs in Kosovo can only come as tourists. I don't care about that statement of Serbia, I worry about the decisions of the Kosovo government that are taken without analyzing, and without co-ordinating with our friends. Serbia lets forget what comes to Kosovo, it is a river. Kosovo is a state, such threats do not worry us much, and we should not deal with those threats. But we have to look at our jobs, not make relations with strategic partners worse, and make decisions that we can get to the bottom.”, Kastrati told Periscope.
We remember that even Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has reacted. After the threatening statements from Serbia, saying there will never be police or soldiers of Serbia on Kosovo territory again.
Serbia's hegemonistic dream “will never be born”, Osmani wrote among other things.
