“Meritary Decision”, Kurti reacts after the release of Frasher Krasniqi and others on charges of terrorism

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted after the Constitutional Court in Pristina has today declared a free trial against Frasher Krasniqi, Adea Batusha, Egzon Haliti and Atfi, in connection with the charge of terrorism, calling it “the merity decision”. They were accused of being responsible for the attack on the Kosovo Assembly in August 2016. “In August of year [...]

They were accused of being responsible for the attack on the Kosovo Assembly in August 2016.

“In August 2016, V Movement activists were arrested FOR an attack on the Kosovo Assembly. It was one of the greatest attempts to eliminate our movement from the political scene. Today, six years later our activists are found innocent of this charge. Although delayed justice, however, should be hailed for the final merit decision”, Kurti wrote.

He has also recalled Astrit Deharin, who was arrested for the case, saying that “the responsibility of the Astrit Dehar case should account for the arrest of an innocent and the murder of a political activist. ”

But this case is not just delayed justice, it's a lost life. Astret Dehari, our activist has been taken to prison for this charge, and when today this charge is completely dropped, he is no longer among us. If by now we have called on the Justice for Astriní to find out the whole case, now this call gets even more cut. The responsibilities of the Astrit Dehar case must account for the arrest of an innocent and drowning of a political activist”, Kurti wrote.

In this trial process, which was turned into retrial, Krasniqi, Batusha, Haliti and Arifi were accused of being responsible for the attack on the Kosovo Assembly in August 2016, which has qualified as a terrorist act.

According to the trial, Frasher Krasniqi, Adea Batusha, Egzon Haliti and Atfi are released from the indictment, as it has not been proven that they did the same criminal work that they were burdened with.
