Masked individuals in Leposavic allegedly attacked Albanian worker

Masked persons have been seen moving along roads north of the country in recent weeks, following tension there. These days it has been reported that some of them have also attacked journalists of Kosovo media who are staying there to report on recent developments. The worker [...] suffered badly
Last morning, 46-year-old F.I., while traveling to distribute goods to municipalities in the northern part of Kosovo, with the van being owned by the company for which it serves, allegedly was attacked by several masked persons in Leposaviq.
Signal sources have suggested that the whole event occurred as the victim was moving towards Leposaviqi, where he encountered four masked persons who, under gun threat, had been asked to turn back from where he had gone.
Besides gun rowing, suspects have also damaged their vehicle, causing material damage.
Because of roads blocked by barricades imposed by local Serbs there, he has used alternative ways to do his work, which has since returned to the southern part of Mitrovica.
Once in South Mitrovica, he has denounced the case to the investigative bodies, where he has issued his statement telling in detail all that happened to him.
Police units have undertaken all investigative actions that help clear the case and lead to the identification of suspected persons.
By order of the prosecutor, the case has been initiated "Cunishing" and "distraction or damage to wealth."
Otherwise, it has been 14 days since groups of local Serbs in the north, in sign of riots for arresting former Serbian police suspected of attacking the offices of the Municipal Election Commission, Dejan Pantic, have set up barricades on roads leading to border crossings with Serbia, Jarinje and Brnjak.
Because barricades have blocked roads leading to border crossings, Jarinje and Brnjak connecting Kosovo and Serbia, these two points have been closed for circulation.
Kosovo authorities have said they have capacities for removing barricades, but that they are giving the NATO mission KFOR time to persuade the local community to unblock the roads themselves.
