The remains of the soldiers of Commander Hood revealed to Sadiku. They were decomposing. Identification would be impossible if no identification documents were found in uniform pockets. Astrit (Gafur) Bytyci had his head cut off. Inside the ID was a piece of paper with some verses miraculously preserved:
