Borrell's “Declarations are in line with the scandalous claims by the Kosovo Specialised Chambers Prosecutor. A testimony that the EU has already been positioned, not for a fair and impartial trial of KLA leaders, but with the scandalous claims of Prosecutor”, Deliu-Kodra wrote.
Since November 2020, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are in custody in The Hague, under the Special Court's claims on war crimes charges and crimes against humanity.
Former President Hashim Thaci's arrest by the Special Court is mentioned today by EU High Representative Josep Borrell during a speech at the Forum for Human Rights.
Borrell said Thaci was arrested by EULEX police officers while he was president and that he is now in The Hague to face justice.
