Cold freezes US, Biden proclaims emergency

At least 28 people have lost their lives in New York City, mostly in the town of Buffalo, due to temperatures of tens of degrees of cellius below zero.

An American state official says people remained trapped in their vehicles for more than two days during the most terrible winter storm of their lives.

Sinoptics warn of large quantities of snow expected over the next few hours. The storm, stretching from Canada to Mexico, has killed over 60 totals.
