Kosovo municipalities have won a battle in front of the Government over unexplored personal revenues, which the latter envisioned receiving and thus the municipalities would lose tens of millions for capital investments.
The head of the Kosovo Municipal Association, Mr. Sazan Ibrahimi, reports that after the lobby of Association, the Assembly has attracted Article 6 points 9, where the process was presented in question.
After the Kosovo Communists Association lobe, the parliament of the Republic of Kosovo just withdrew Article 6 point 6 where the acquisition of unexplored self-invented municipalities from the early years was seen. If that point of this article were approved, municipalities would lose tens of millions of euros in revenue for capital investments that would affect the improved lives of citizens. Also, if this article were adopted, then the Public Finance Management Law would be violated, it would be for local finance, but also the European Charter for Local Self-Government. Congratulations to the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo!
We remember that a series of mayors who lead the municipal level in Kosovo had raised such concern over this government action, since the money raised by taxpayers in Kosovo's (communals) non-expensive cities would be briefly clarified by the Government.
In this way, municipalities would find it impossible to invest in capital projects. /Periscopi/
