Zajednica on last night's deal: Consider how Kurt swallows the most important point

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, speaking of yesterday's agreement in Brussels, has also cited the fact that the EU and Serbia on Monday have demanded the formation of association, Periscope reports. The past agreements are meant as a general dimension, we cannot deny such an understanding of the EU. Everything related to it will be meant in the framework of the EU project. We have agreed that Brussels' agreements are in the element of the performance of the German Franco plan in its entirety and their ambition jointly. Our timing is recognition, not attitude toward something concrete. No reference to a concrete agreement we agreed to be included in the document last night. When I was in talks Monday, the insistence was to be the Association of Municipals. And it's a big difference between Monday and Wednesday. Monday was Borrell and Lajcak, and yesterday, only Lajcak. ”

He has since said that during a meeting he had in Paris on November 11th he met with EU top diplomat Josep Borrell, as well as Lajcak.

In a conversation with them, Kurt says he discussed the Franco-German proposal. But during the conversation Kurt quoted Borrell as sharply saying not to call the Franco-German but European proposal.

On November 11th, when I met him in Paris, Mr. Borrell and Lajcak with my counseling team when I was there. When I said the Franco-German proposal, he reacted beautifully and said this is the European proposal. I said okay, from now on I'm going to call the European proposal on the support of France and Germany. But I saw on Monday it's actually Franco-German. But since it's insisted on being called the European Union, I have no problem with that”, Kurt said.

The European Union has already delivered a statement issued by EU High Representative Josep Borrell after reaching a license agreement for license plates in Brussels with Kosovo and Serbia.

In part, the statement writes that the parties have understood the fact that all past relations, including Association, are implemented.

The parties understand that all past agreements must be implemented, the EU statement said.

Borrell has confirmed that the next few days will be invited to discuss full normalisation. He has said he can stop negotiating if the parties block the process.

Borrell has confirmed that the next few days will be invited to discuss full normalisation. He has said he can stop negotiating if the parties block the process.

Full statement:

Brussels, November 23, 2022

Under EU unification, the parties have agreed on measures to avoid further escalation and to fully focus, with the urgency, on the proposal for normalisation of relations, as presented this September by the EU facilitator and supported by France and Germany.

This means that Serbia will stop issuing plates with the appointments of Kosovo cities and that Kosovo will cease any further action regarding the reregisterment of vehicles.

The EU will ensure that key issues and principles regarding normalisation will be addressed in the context of the proposal. The parties agreed that past Dialogue Agreements should be implemented.

I will invite the parties in the coming days to discuss the next steps under the proposal aimed at presenting results by the Special Group for normalisation with Kosovo and up-to-date in Chapter 35 for Serbia. In the event of obstruction by each Paul, the EU relief device could complete the process.

EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajek and I will continue to facilitate the process of normalising relations and updateing EU member states and partners regularly for progress achieved by the parties./ P ERISCOPI/
