The recogniser of Kosovo's interethnic relations, Fatmir Sheholli, has warned Serbs from institutions even in other municipalities in the country, thus not only in the north. Sheholli's warning comes after Serbian List Deputy Chairman Dalibor Yevtiq's statement, who has also called on southern Serbs to leave Kosovo institutions, in the event there is no change in the position of the Government of Kosovo.
Sheholli for Blic has stressed that if the decision on the license plates is not withdrawn and that unless the establishment of Association starts, then all Serbs boycott Kosovo institutions.
“As we have warned of as the Institute for Confirming Interethnic Relations, Serbs below the Iber River are listed with the Serbian List. In this sense, the heads of the 6 Serb majority municipalities (Gracanica, Novo Brda, Shtrpc, Klokot, Partesh and Ranillu) are in co-ordination with the chairman of the Serbian List and through it with official Belgrade, that if Prime Minister Kurti does not change the decision to license and does not start creating ASK, then it is expected that even the mayors of the municipalities, Serbian asambitors of these municipalities, will leave Kosovo institutions”, he noted.
He says convinced that their departure could occur at the moment the Serbian fine starts on November 21st.
Otherwise, today Serbian List deputy chairman Dalibor Yevtic has also called on southern Serbs to leave Kosovo institutions, in the event there is no change in the position of the Government of Kosovo.
According to Jevtic, the current situation in Kosovo is worse compared to the period when Serbs announced their exit from Kosovo institutions, and all that he says is the result of the Kosovo government's irresponsible policy.
Jevtic added that if there is no change of position, Serbs south of Ibri must leave Pristina institutions.
This is my attitude, this is the attitude of my colleagues. I personally have announced in writing the chairman of the Serbian List, Rakic, that I believe that the political representatives of Serbs, who Serbs in general in the south of Ibri, should leave the institutions and that is a question that is still present and open. If the situation does not change, if the course and attitude of official Pristina do not stop institutional violence against Serbs, I am almost sure that the same decision will be made by Serbs south of Ibrit”, Jevtic tells Euromother Serbia.
He says that the two conditions for returning to institutions are the formation of Association and the withdrawal of the Targa decision.
“The answer to the question of whether Serbs in northern Kosovo would turn around and into institutions, given when the decision is changed and that decision to reregister cars and when the formation of association starts”, says Jevtic
