The veteran Serbian diplomat said the failed meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels has definitely shown that the EU can lead that process. He told the radical Serbian media, “Politika” that Kosovo is controlled by the US, stressing the fact that Kurti accepted the American request to postpone for 48 hours the fine of drivers carrying license plates issued by Serbia on their vehicles, the newspaper Express follows.
“America has once again shown that it controls Pristina, that it has a decisive impact in Kosovo and that it reserves the right to be final arbitrator”, Milivojevic says, stressing that “some kind of rivalry with the Macron-Scholz plan is on the horizon”.
“... Berlin's aim, above all, is to take full control of the problem. Clearly, America won't. In addition, the EU is talking about mediation and maintaining Brussels' mandate, while the US preserves the mandate to intervene when Europe does not make it to”, Milivojevic estimates.
