You announce today Wednesday (02.11.2022) at 10:00, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry organises a press conference. Topic: The Government's decision regarding the division of tools and conditioning for private sector workers” is said in the communique.

The Kosovo government in early September in the so-called Inflation Pack made the decision to subsidise 50 per cent of the private sector's salary growth of up to 100 euros in case of increased salaries of workers in the sector. This measure is meant to last for three months.

Soundly opposed to this decision have been by the Private Sector Workers' Union, saying workers remain at the mercy of businesses.

The Kosovo government has yet to provide any precise figure of how many private workers have accepted increased wages.
