The Kosovo Assembly has come out with clarification following reports that MPs from the Serbian List who have resigned will continue to be paid in 12 months.
Through a post on the official site, the Assembly has suggested that when the MP resigns, from that day they ban all rights he could have acquired as ex-Deputes, including the transitional salary of up to 12 months.
According to the announcement, the right to passing wages rejoices only when the Parliament is distributed, whether after the regular mandate or with the end of the term.
“The public clarification function regarding the benefits of former files, announce as follows: When the Assembly is distributed, whether after regular or intermittent mandate mandate, the deputies of the relevant legislature enjoy the right to transitional wages until a new system, at least 12 months. While the MP resigns, from that day, all rights that he could have acquired as former delegations -- including the transitional salary of up to 12 months” -- are denied, the announcement says.
