Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has invited opposition leaders to meet after recent developments in the north.
The invitation for the meeting this morning has been responded positively to by Democratic Party of Kosovo chairman Memli Krasniqi and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo chairman Ramush Haradinaj.
We've accepted a request for a meeting from the prime minister and the chairman of Memli Krasniqi's PDK has already confirmed its participation in the” meeting, said Faton Abdullahu, spokesman of PDK.
While according to AAK spokesman Lulzim Blaka, the “theme of discussion is the discussion of developments in the country, especially those in the country's north”.
“Chairman Haradinaj has confirmed participation in this meeting”, Blaka stressed.
But the Democratic League of Kosovo has not yet confirmed its participation in the meeting.
Otherwise, the Democratic Party of Kosovo through a letter sent to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called for harmonisation of institutional actions for the situation created in the north.
Through a letter sent Monday by the chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has said co-ordination between power and opposition is important.
Kosovo needs responsible actions that preserve the stability of our state. In this case, I express to you the willingness of the Democratic Party of Kosovo to communicate openly and consistently about the situation created in the northern part of the country, as well as to help institutions continue exercising sovereignty in every part of our territory”, Krasniqi's letter says.
