EU: It is up to Kosovo and Serbia to respond to Franco-German plan

There has been a few weeks of debate over the Franco-German plan on finding an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. Proposals given to Kurti and Vuciqi are confidential, until both leaders have had a deadline to show their positions for the proposal. That such a thing [...]
That this has been shown by EU High Representative Josep Borelli, yet it is still well aware of what exactly are in the answers of Belgrade and Pristina. Borell, when he spoke on this issue, has stressed that Brussels is studying the answers to the parties.
But from the European Union they have agreed to talk about something like that when asked whether Serbia has rejected the proposal and whether Kosovo has accepted it.
EU spokeswoman Zoe Muletier has told Gazeta Express that questions should be addressed to Vuciqi and Kurti, since Brussels speaks on their behalf.
Thank you for the questions. However, they must be addressed to the authorities of Serbia and Kosovo, since we talk in their name”, Muletier has said.
From Serbia so far for the Franco-German proposal has spoken Serbian diplomacy chief Ivica Dacic, saying he is unacceptable to Belgrade since he included the recognition of Kosovo.
“does not give us the opportunity to speak, because it is unacceptable for us the basis from which Kosovo starts is an independent state. And this, whether you're going to know it in a formal sense, but you'll agree that Kosovo is a member of the UN, is very difficult for us”, Dacic has said.
Meanwhile, there have been two conflicting statements from Kosovo. Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi during a discussion at the Forum for Security has stated that the Franco-German proposal is closer to Belgrade's demands.
“From this perspective, the Franco-German proposal is much closer to Serbia's stance, because it does not represent final agreements and does not contain mutual recognition at this stage”, Bislimi said at the Forum for Security.
While Bislim's chief, Prime Minister Kurti, at a news conference Monday, has declared that he has not rejected the proposal and that he considers it an acceptable basis.
I have assessed this proposal as a step in the right direction. The total framework of the agreement has been the first point on August 18th in Brussels. So far we've had dialogue for the process, but not for deals. On September 9th, even before a month was taken to my office here, and then senior advisors of President Macro and German Chancellors went to Belgrade... So they've brought a summary of ideas, of models I haven't rejected, but they're a good basis. I have my remarks, but I have not rejected that proposal. But in Belgrade they said no, after the meeting of their Security Council”, Kurti has declared from the Government building.
Kurt has stressed that he has given similar suggestions and criticism.
The Franco-German proposal is being supported by the United States. This is confirmed Tuesday at a news conference, Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfreed.
Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has also been among the first leaders in the region to have made his stance public and has said Scholz and Macron's proposal is a very good option.
