A new, healthy brain is often associated with people who have a good memory.
However, the process of remembering becomes much more difficult with age, and at times it is difficult to remember someone's face, name, birth date, and even some everyday things like the one we ate that day. This is due to the aging of our brain cells, which then lose their properties.
A study published in 2021 that followed 330 people showed that the risk of delinquency increases by 60 percent every two years after a century of life. Although genes play a huge role, nearly 17 percent of the people in the study had known genes to increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease but did not develop the disease.

In his book Milestein explains how the acumulation of the “plems of the brain” also affects brain age. Just as cities with large populations become polluted relatively quickly, so the brain contains a large number of proteins, chemical reactions, toxins, old and damaged cells that are no longer in use. These “plehra” are often recycled and washed, but if collected, they can influence brain functions because they prevent healthy cell communication.
