European Union Enlargement and Neighborhood Commissioner Oliver Varhely has said Serbia is the side that has moved forward in dialogue with Kosovo, and that Kosovo has had unilateral moves.
In presenting the European Commission's report to Western Balkan states, Varhely asked for more constructiveity in Kosovo in dialogue, while Serbia did not mention the issue.
Asked by the Eurodeput, Lucas Mandl, why Kosovo is said to make moves in dialogue and not Serbia, Varhely has said that the two sides must engage, but there has been criticism of Kosovo.
The end “we have seen Serbia making money moves in dialogue, is making concessions, like the issue of summer IDs, which was significant improvement in dialogue. We have seen unilateral actions by the Government of Kosovo before that. What is necessary, both sides engage, with no unilateral actions and dialogue finally resulting from”, Varhely has said.
