Goncharenko, at today's session of the EC Parliamentary Assembly, begged all non-recognising states to recognise Kosovo's independence.
This is especially what I want to say about Kosovo. Kosovo should be recognised by all Council of Europe countries where 12 countries have not recognised. I address you, please recognize this country as an independent state as they fought for their future, for their independence and must sit here with us, be part of the Council of Europe, and only thus can we grow stronger. We all have to do this, get to know Kosovo and together move ahead of”.
He also talked about the importance of the Western Balkans to be part of the European Union, while he said commitment is needed to the whole world and to Europe.
The Western Balkans must be an extremely important part of the free world and we must do everything to help them do it. They're trying to use the Western Balkans to have more chaos in the world. Who is trying to destabilise Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia. Today we must say that we must do all we can to ensure that these countries are part of our common values”.
We generally have to do everything we can to make the world free of the whole planet, but we have to start with Europe. There should be no holes in Europe's map for one or another country that is not part of Europe and the European project where we value human rights, rule of law and democracy”.
