Kubrakov, comments were made during a meeting with Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar in Istanbul.
The statements come at a time when Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, have questioned the future of the agreement.
“The UN, Turkey and Ukraine expressed their readiness to continue the operation and assured that everything will be done to implement it successfully. There is no doubt that the wheat corridor will continue to function even after November 22nd,” said Kubrakov.
The minister also stressed the importance of faster inspections of ships from the Joint Co-ordination Centre. This allows “a significant increase in the volume of grain exports to countries of Africa, Asia and Europe and prevents the formation of inspection ranks,”, he said.
The Black Sea grain initiative, which was mediated by the UN and Turkey, was signed by representatives from Russia and Ukraine in July. /abcnews.al/
