The Kosovo Communists Association has demanded that the compensation of hours lost during the strike take place on weekdays and not on weekends, as the Ministry of Education has proposed.
Salin Ibrahim said, "Today the work is to be repaid for an extra hour."
Days earlier, the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation (MASHTI) had published the decision to change the 2022-23 school year calendar.
Under that plan, the 22 days lost during the strike will be replaced during Saturday days for students from first class to eighth.
Meanwhile, the first half anniversary of the pre-university level will be completed on 27 January, and winter rest will begin on January 30th and last until February 3rd of 2023.
The second half anniversary will begin on 6 February, and the remaining five classes will be compensated during spring break.
