Saudi Arabia has pledged $1400m humanitarian aid to Ukraine, the Saudi state news agency SPA reported on Saturday.
The aid was made public after calling the previous day, between the mighty Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Salman was appointed prime minister of state on September 27th of this year, a position traditionally belonging to the king.
The agency said this amount would help alleviate Ukrainian suffering amid a continuing war of more than seven months.
Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24th.
The Saudi heir said his country is willing to continue mediating efforts and take all necessary steps to help de-scalp the situation.
Saudi Arabia said last month that the Crown Prince had brokered between Russia and Ukraine for the release of 10 prisoners from various countries.
The Kingdom earlier this week voted in favour of a UN resolution condemning the annexation of four Ukraine regions from Russia.
