The package includes additional launch systems of HIMARS mobile missiles, ammunition and armoured vehicles”, the White House said.
“During a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky, US President Joe Biden confirmed the continued willingness of the US to impose sanctions on each individual, ethnicity or country offering support for Russia's alleged annexation”, a statement said.
The Ukrainian weapons package is from the Pentagon reserve, according to the US State Department. This brings total U.S. military assistance to Ukraine from the beginning of Beden's mandate to $1.5 billion.
Much of the aid has been provided since Russia launched its fight against Ukraine on February 24th.
