Kosovo authorities from tomorrow will begin to pronounce the reproof measures, with the request that the owners of illegal license plates head to the Auto-registering Centre to register their vehicles with RKS license plates.

But so far this decision taken by the Kosovo government has not been welcomed by Serbs within the country, who have said they would not respect it.

The mayor of the northern municipality of Mitrovica, Milan Radojevic, has said today that there is tension in that city due to decisions Kosovo institutions have made about reregistering vehicles. According to him, Serbs in Kosovo will not change their stance and give up the plates issued by Serbia.

If they continue with unilateral moves that will result in even greater pressure and fines, there will surely be reactions. We will not allow any seizures of vehicles. We stand and want to live a worthy human life. So Serbs will behave tomorrow as if it were a normal working day”, Milan Radojevic said.

In a presentation to the Serbian news agency “Tanjug”, among other things, it has stressed that the response of Serbs from the north of Kosovo will follow the first sentence because of not reregistering.

We remember, that a few more hours have been left by the government of Kosovo's new decision to convert illegal plates to those RKS, which is meant to implement the scale-scale for six months.
