From next week, the Trust Bill will go to the Assembly, with or without the opinion of the Government of Kosovo.
So said Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Bekim Haxhiu, who is one of the main initiators of this bill.
“Me or without the Government's opinion, the Trust Bill from next week enters parliamentary procedure in the Assembly. On Monday, it should be distributed to MPs and then treated by the Commission for Human Rights and Petitions, even come for the vote in the Parliament”, Haxhiu said.
The first time, in June of this year, the bill that would enable citizens to withdraw 30 per cent of their means collected at the Pension Fund did not pass.
This was rejected by the government, but also by the ruling party, the Vetevendosje Movement.
The initiateds of this bill, however, did not give up. The second attempt to pass is being made through the citizens' signing of petitions.
Over 17 thousand signatures, which were collected for eight days, were recognised as regular by the Central Election Commission.
Adnan Jashari, who is the initiator for the collection of signatures by citizens, told Clankosova.tv that he does not know what the government's response will be.
He said that the executive, like last time I answered, was leaving on the last day.
According to him, the Kosovo government has until Friday to provide an answer, which hopes to be positive.
The government has deadlines Friday to provide answers. We are waiting for her, we have no information about what the answer will be, we hope to be positive. [government] He's getting late for the answer like last time. The last day of the legal deadline is leaving”, Jashar said.
The initiator added that the citizens' economic situation is serious and that they are eager to see this bill voted for.
The citizens are unfortunately in serious condition, in debt and cannot wait, are not enduring delays. Every day I am receiving messages from different citizens, eager to go out and vote for, withdraw their savings, and at least ease the” crisis, he told Clankosova. tv
I did. tv has also asked the Prime Minister's Office about the opinion on the Trust Bill, but has not yet received an answer. /Klankosova.tv.
