Government spokesman responds to Escobar for the license plates: We Have Obligation to Obey the Law

The Kosovo government has said it is under obligation to implement the law, constitutionality and government decisions, when asked by Radio Free Europe, in terms of the US envoy's request for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar for ten months of extension of the deadline for reregistering Serbian cars to RKS ♫ [...]
Esbobar has said on local television Wednesday, Kanal 10, that this demand for postponement has been made by all the countries of Quinti United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy.
“We are the states that most support Kosovo. We believe it's important that when we make recommendations, people listen to them”, Escobar said.
The deadline for reregistering cars in the RKS has started on September 1st and ends on October 31st.
We understand the concerns and concerns of Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs even the American representatives for the Western Balkans, Mr. Gabriel Escobar and we share them with him because security and peace are vital and mutual values and interests. At the same time, we have a commitment to rule the law, constitutionality, government decisions. One does not rule out the other”, it is said in the Government's response to Radio Free Europe.
In it, the government has again called on Kosovo Serb citizens to re-register cars by “taking advantage of tax and customs release”.
It's not October 31st and October 30th today. We are within the campaign for converting illegal plates into those RKS”, it is said in response.
So far, the Government of Kosovo has said the deadline for reregisteration will not be extended, and that on November 1st, cars with license plates issued by Serbia will no longer be able to circulate.
These plates are considered illegal by authorities in Kosovo, but so far have been tolerated in northern Kosovo.
On July 31st and August 1st, local Serbs in northern Kosovo have placed barricades as a sign of dissatisfaction with the Government of Kosovo's decision to implement two decisions -- for car plates and Serbian documents.
The decision to implement these two decisions has been postponed for 1 September, even at the request of international mechanisms.
In the meantime, agreement has been reached on entry/extended documents.
Kosovo and Serbia have launched negotiations on normalising relations in 2011, with the European Union's mediation.
The negotiations process is expected to end with legally binding agreement.
Although Kosovo claims that this agreement should include mutual recognition, Serbia refuses, insisting on <x0 compromise resolution”.
