Escobar in Pristina tomorrow, expected to meet with opposition

Gabriel Escobar, the US special emissar for Kosovo dialogue Serbia, comes to Pristina tomorrow. He will also gather opposition leaders at the American Embassy. He has done so on his visit in August. But, then, it seemed that Prime Minister Kurti was holding back from having invited the opposition to dinner. Express newspaper [...]
The newspaper Express learns that once again, Escobar has invited three opposition squirrels -- PDK's Memli Krasniqi, LDK's Lumir Abdijxhik and Ramush Haradinaj from the AAK -- to a meeting at the American Embassy in Pristina. The meeting is expected tomorrow at noon.
This is the second time within the months that the American emissary comes to Kosovo and gathers the opposition.
In August, Escobar came to Kosovo and met with the President, and then gathered the opposition for dinner at the US Ambassador's residence. Prime Minister Albin Kurti was not in Pristina. It was reported that after the August 18th meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels, Kurti had travelled to Norway.
When he returned and was asked about Escobar's meeting with the opposition, Kurti had hinted that he had no longer welcomed him.
It's true that I haven't met the opposition since the Parliament went to summer break. I saw it yesterday, except for me, so did Mr. Gabriel Escobar missed the opposition. I miss the opposition too. And I will ask Mr. Escobar that since he has run with the opposition, as is the opposition, as we have the opposition”, Kurti declared.
Regarding Escobar's dinner with the opposition yesterday during the day, the prime minister's adviser, Hysamedin Feraj, asked whether the opposition would report to Escobar that “wanted the collapse of Kurti”.
Escobar's August meetings in Pristina took place a few days before the deadline, when two government decisions for implementing reciprocity agreements in Serbia's documents and license plates were expected to take effect. Internationals fearing the transition of the situation landed in Pristina.
International intervention in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue has intensified in recent weeks.
In addition to Secretary Blinken's call with Serbian Prime Minister Kurti and President Aleksandar Vuciq, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Emmanuel Macron have also been engaged. These two have submitted a Franco-German proposal to Kurti and Vuciqi through their advisers who visited Pristina and Belgrade in June.
