Kurti, through a Facebook text, has mentioned the Economic Resurrection Pack, the assistance for foreign businesses and investments in Kosovo, which it says certainly increases the country's economy.
Economic progress is not speculation or coincidence. It is the result of proper policies and good governance. The figures and indicators above are our testimony to this”, Kurti wrote.
Below, you can read the prime minister's full post on Facebook:
Economic growth because this is our vision. Support for local businesses because this is the way to do this.
Through the Economic Resurrection Pack, Masse 2.1, we subsidised 20% of the head of the credit for production and processing businesses. The measure amounts to the value of 15m euros in direct support that has enabled 207 businesses to invest over 87m euros in capacity expansion.
With Masa 2.4, we offered staff training support, product inside and support for fairs abroad to find new markets. Support from which 75 businesses benefited.
So we have helped our local businesses expand production and processing capacities so that local production, export employment can increase.
Exports along the January-September 2022 period are up 25.6% higher compared to the same period last year. The average annual export growth during the January-September 2008-2020 period is 15.7%, while the average export growth in the same two years and during our government is 47.3%. So with our Government exports in this period have increased threefold faster than in years since past governments led.
And export growth will no doubt mean increased economic activity and employment in the country.
The circulation of businesses for the January-August 2022 period has marked growth of 21.6% compared to the same period in 2021 and 67.9% compared to 2020.
As a result, 25 thousand more jobs were registered in 2021 than our predecessor, and between January and August of this year we have 15 thousand more jobs.
In addition to direct subsidies, we are helping our businesses by reducing the cost of doing business.
We closed the year 2021 with the opening of the state customs terminal in Mitrovica. This year, we returned the customs terminal to Podujevo to the state. We will continue with the opening of the state customs terminal in Vmica.
And this week, the delivery of goods began at the port of Durres. This will lower costs for businesses and consumers for about 2m euros, as well as the timing of the distribution.
Foreign direct investment in Kosovo continues to increase during our governance. In this year's January-July period, the value of foreign direct investments has exceeded 400m euros. So 47% more than the same period of 2021 and 99% more than in 2020.
Economic progress is not speculation or coincidence. It is the result of proper policies and good governance. The figures and indicators above are our testimony to this.
