The situation between Kosovo and Serbia is different. Kosovo must strengthen its sovereignty and control the northern part. The issue of license plates is a good example of sovereignty, but there are other methods that can be used. We have a great ambassador to Belgrade, Christopher Hill, who understands the situation very well. He has also been ambassador to Macedonia during 1998-1999. He is in the right place at the right time”, he said, TV1 reported.
Clark said knowing what NATO's capacities are, there is no possibility of a conflict in Kosovo.
And in Kosovo, the United States of America appointed a good ambassador. Therefore, the situation is safer in Kosovo considering KFOR's role. Dialogue with Serbia should continue even if there are many differences and problems. This is also in the interest of Kosovo citizens. I'm not too worried about the Balkans, because I know NATO is there to intervene quickly if there is destabilisation. Words of war do not bother me because I know NATO's capabilities”, Clark said.
Former Commander NATO added that Kosovo will undoubtedly one day become a NATO member.
