Former CIA Director: US would destroy Russian troops and fleet in the Black Sea if nuclear weapons were used

A former CIA director warned that the US and NATO allies would destroy Russian forces if Russian President Vladimir Putin uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine. According to foreign media, David Petraeus appeared on Sunday in ABC's This Weeké, where he said nuclear threats from Putin should be taken seriously and that the ruler is desperate after the reality of the battlefield he faces is irreversible.

Putin signed a decree earlier this week to illegally annex parts of Ukraine.

A few days later, however, Russia was forced to withdraw troops from Lyman, with strategic importance located in one of the four Ukrainian regions Russia annexed.

While signing the decree, Putin “sentenced the West ésatanik 33:x1> and pledged to use all the power of the Kremlin to protect Russia's new territory.

The statement was widely seen as a nuclear threat.

“Hipotically, we would respond with a collective response of NATO, which would destroy all Russian collective forces that can be observed and identified in the battlefield in Ukraine and Crime, as well as any ship on the Black Sea”, he said.

And Petraus said that, even though Ukraine is not a country NATO, a US and NATO response, would be necessary.

He told President Jonathan Carl that the likelihood that radiation from a nuclear weapon would extend to a NATO country could possibly be interpreted as an attack on a NATO member.

This is so terrible that there must be an answer ) it cannot be left unanswered”

Ukraine claimed full control of Lyman's eastern logistics centre on Sunday.

This is the most important victory in the field of battle from Russia in recent weeks, offering a possible station for further attacks in the east, while increasing further pressure on the Kremlin.
