As the chairman of the Health Commission, did Kurt take Latif home?

Health Minister Rifat Latifi has already resigned. Continued criticism of the minister's failure to work recently had intensified. Kurt created a commission that he decided to lead by himself. Although he saw a statement from the Government, it has already been confirmed that Minister Latifi has given up his position, through a letter sent to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, which Telegrafi published.

Minister Latifi was earlier declared optimistic about his work in one of the sectors considered by the most devastating in Kosovo. Criticals against him have not ceased since he started working.

Recently, Kurt had created a Health Commission that would guide him. Minister Latifi has commented on the formation of this commission, saying that tomorrow he may no longer be in charge of the ministry.

I am a minister today, I may not be tomorrow, but this commission of any prime minister, any one of the prime ministers, should continue to exist because it helps health, as the prime minister, Albin Kurti is the leader of several other commissions, so it is absolutely not the faintness of my office, I think it is empowering my function”, he stated.

Meanwhile, in his letter of resignation, he wrote that the decision was made by “after much time of reflection”.

Latifi has been criticised for not finding solutions to improving Kosovo's health.

The minister who had come from the United States to become part of the Government of Kosovo commented on frequent trips abroad, mainly private.

Latifi was appointed minister in November 2021, after Arben Vitita left the post.
