In a Facebook post, he introduced some of the stolen archaeological and ethnographic treasures belonging to the public museum collection of the Republic of Kosovo.
Ceku said these exhibits of Kosovo's public museum collection were taken during the war by the Serbian Academy of Sciences.
“1247 exhibits of Kosovo's museum public collection have been taken by the Kosovo National Museum during wartime (1998-99) by the Serbian Academy of Sciences. It was part of Serbia's genocide project against the history and identity of Albanians, along with the destruction of over 1,000 heritage objects”.
Serbia is openly violating U.N. conventions NESTO, the original agreement and Ahtisaari document”, it wrote.
Otherwise, the minister at a media conference had indicated that the State Commission for Documentation of the Destruction of Kosovo Cultural Heritage during the war period has already entered the final phase of his work.
The “Database, which is being populated with monuments destroyed during the war, has exceeded the number of thousands of assets deliberately destroyed by Serbian forces”, Ceku said before the media, Telegrafi reports.
He has added that the Commission in question is working with added dynamics to produce the first draft of the report and to issue “the compensation surplus” to be sent to Serbia.
