Former President Alfred Moisiu said in an interview for Euronews Albania that during his meeting with Hashim Thaci in The Hague, the last one was concerned about staining Kosovo's war.
We were also talking to Thaci about health and morals and how things are going. They are people determined to do what they wanted to do and they did. Their concern is why the Kosovo war should be tarnished”, Moisiu said.
The former president said he visited Thaci at The Hague to show the world Kosovo war has been fair, cannot be called terrorist war.
I was on September 19th in The Hague, and there were 3 former Albanian presidents Mejidani, Topi and former Prime Minister Majko. Pacolli was from their side. We went there to greet them and encourage them. The reason we went there to show that Kosovo's war has been fair cannot be called terrorist war. You see the president. Thaci resigned and was arrested. He made a sacrifice, made it to protect Kosovo's war justice”, he said further.
The former president said he supported “Open Balkan”.
He confessed that even during the time he was head of state, he has undertaken informal meetings with counterparts in the Balkans.
Moisiu said that as long as countries came to integrate into the European Union, the issue of free movement had to be resolved.
According to Moisiu, this is an initiative that draws near, and like the Berlin Process, which originally had many voices against it, will be unified and supported ultimately by all.
