The ZERE board report will be in connection with the extraordinary review of electricity tariffs.
“Bord of the Energy Regulatory Office reports to the Commission for Economics about the extraordinary review of electricity tariffs. (Kosovo Assembly, N-506 Hall, 11:00)”, the announcement said.
Otherwise, the Kosovo government has announced it pledges 75m euros in aid to citizens and businesses to cope with new electricity prices.
But, bad news from the government came for those who have the only way to heat up electricity and spend more than 600 kWh a month, while those under this limit will pay as they have done so far.
“Government energy subsidies will impact that the fee for business consumers remains at 0% growth, home consumers' tariffs up to 600 kWh consumption remains at 0% increase, while the Z-proposed tariff RRE for domestic consumers for consumption over 600 kWh to be reduced, reflecting the import price for these consumers and promoting energy efficiency”, the Economy Ministry's communique says.
According to the ZRREA proposal, the fee for consumers with 800 kWh of electricity spent monthly will rise to 13.31 euros, while consumers who spend 1,000 kWh per month will face a 24.62-euro electricity price increase.
If these fees are approved, they will begin to apply between February 1st and March 31st of 2023.
In a separate process of extraordinary review, published on the ERE site along with this report, Z The RRE has estimated that the maximum licensed introductions covering the reasonable costs of electricity service are $446.7 million. This part of the consultative report offers the ZERE proposal for the level of electricity tariffs that will be applicable for February 1st 2022-31 March 2023 to cover the level of reasonable costs...”, the report said.
