The New York Prosecutor invites Trump's children to testify

The New York State Prosecutor's Office handed out judicial invitations to Donald Trump's children, Ivanka and Donald Junior, and as part of the investigation if the Trump business organisation manipulated its property values, the New York Times reports, citing court documents. The calls came from State Prosecutor's Office Letisa James on December 1st, and Trump received a personal call, added NYT, follows Reuters.
James ' office seeks answers to the question of whether the Trump organization manipulated the value of its real estate.
Its investigation is linked to some extent, but is not part of the Manhattan District Attorney's criminal investigation into matters of Trump's organisation, including allegations that the organisation has exaggerated the value of certain real estate to receive credit and tax relief.
James joined the investigation last May. Trump's second son, Eric, was questioned by investigators from the state prosecutor's office in October 2020, according to the New York Times.
Former President Trump indicted James to block her civil investigation into alleged fraud in his company and accused him of serving party politics as a democrat.
