United Opposition Against Energy Exploration

Following the failure of the resolution vote, PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri said they would use legal mechanisms to counter the warned rise in electricity prices.

According to him, the failure to include four northern municipalities is turning that part into full autonomy.

We had a resolution asking the ZRE and the government, in no circumstances not to consider price growth at this level. We expected such a resolution to be voted to counter the rise in energy prices. This majority gave a clear message that there is full co-ordination between Kurt, ZRE and parliament to implement a fee block”, he said.

LDK deputy Armend Zemaj also indicated that what the government is doing is a game.

These fraudulent improvisements are the most clear indication of the failure to perform the task, and the main thing is to protect citizens by our actions are legitimate for protection from evil. We cannot become part of this game despite the support they have from the Serbian List”, he has declared.

AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri said this resolution had helped the government oppose price hikes.
