The European Union's Special Emisar for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, through a text on his twitter account, has announced that delegations have discussed the issue of license plates. After that, Lajcak also had a message for Kosovo and Serbia.
Lajcak has announced that Kosovo and Serbian delegations are discussing the issue of license plates in Brussels. According to him, the discussions brought clarity that could potentially bring results.
On the other hand, the EU emissary sent a message to Kosovo and Serbia to work in order to achieve the final outcome.
Kosovo and Serbian delegations have come to Brussels today for the fourth meeting over the issue of license plates. Discussions brought more clarity about options and possible results. I encourage the parties to continue working on the options of approaching”, Lajcak wrote on twitter.
Recent developments in the dialogue have shown that Kosovo is the problematic side in the EU's face dialogue, or at least so European Union Representative Josep Borrell said.
“ ... we will continue to talk to the two sides, in particular with Kosovo, because at this moment it is showing more unwilling to return to dialogue”, Borrell said three days ago.
And that same day, Lajcak met with Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bissim, with whom he said he had a constructive meeting.
“enjoyed a concrete and constructive meeting for the road forward in the Dialogue on normalising relations with Kosovo's first Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi today in Vienna. We are eager to continue our discussions next week in Kosovo”, Lajcak wrote in a tweet.
Expert delegates of Kosovo & Serbia came to Brussels today for the 4th meeting of the WG on Licence Place. Discussions brought more clarity about potential options & possible outcoms. I recommend them to continue working on options in view of the application deadline.
