Through a Facebook text, Tahiri said it was a racist decision until he sought an investigation by the prosecution.
The government's “Attempting through the head of the ZRE Board to justify the ethnic discrimination that the ZRE is making to Kosovo Albanians in the case of rising electricity prices, thus excluding northern municipalities from this price hikes, is a low, discriminated act and racist elements.
As such, it should be strongly opposed by all political spectrum, civil society and the citizens of the country. I also invite the state prosecutor to immediately begin investigations into the ZRE under suspicion of abuse of official task”, his writing said.
We remember that the Energy Regulatory Office has not included the four northern municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo in its report, in which the electricity price hike was considered and proposed.
This is confirmed today by Energy Regulatory Office Board Chairman Ymer Fejzullahu, as he reported to the Kosovo Framework Commission for Economics.
