The cheater called 66 years old. He told her that two men had just been arrested. They had a notebook with the woman's name and residence. The fake policeman explained to 66-year-old that it was now important that she hand over to the police all the money she had at home and at the bank. The woman granted this request and finally deposited over 34 thousand francs in an envelope.
Canton police St. Gallen regularly reveals attempts at fraud by false police officers. Often, deceivers do so.
